CREW CHIEF (CONTENT STRATEGY & EXECUTION)

Overview

Burt’s is hiring a Crew Chief to lead client content across strategy, execution, and performance.

You’ll run point on accounts and work closely with our Creative Director. You’ll own the direction and quality of the work across social, video, newsletters, blogs, and brand content.

You won’t be posting or producing everything. But you should always know what’s going out, why it matters, and how it’s performing.

There’s real responsibility in this role. You’ll guide the team, shape the work, and keep pushing it to get better.

At its core, the job is simple to define, hard to do:
Figure out what works and make it repeatable.


What You’ll Do

  • Run point on client accounts day-to-day

  • Lead and collaborate with strategists, editors, and producers

  • Review and refine content across formats (video, copy, structure, messaging)

  • Lead client conversations, walking through work, direction, and performance

  • Make informed decisions on what to create, adjust, or double down on

  • Focus on improving performance over time—not just reporting on it


What You Own

  • Day-to-day content direction across accounts

  • Execution quality across all deliverables

  • Visibility into what’s being produced and published

  • Performance trends (views, engagement, conversions where relevant)

  • Turning feedback and data into better content decisions


What Success Looks Like

  • Content gets sharper and more intentional over time

  • Your team produces stronger work with fewer revisions

  • You can clearly explain what’s working and what isn’t

  • Clients feel confident in the direction

  • Progress is consistent, not reactive


What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years working with brands or businesses on content and marketing

  • Strong understanding of how content works across platforms (TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook)

  • Strong content instincts, especially in short-form video

  • Confident leading client conversations and walking through the work

  • A sharp creative eye and attention to detail

  • Takes ownership, stays organized, and collaborates well with a team

  • Agency or client-facing experience is a plus

  • Familiarity with creative tools/workflows (Adobe, Final Cut, Canva) and reviewing content at volume is a plus

Compensation: $30–$40 per hour

Estimated Hours: 30+ hrs per week with the opportunity to grow into full-time quickly
